Poor Fuel Economy in Nissan Altima

Hi Scotty, I'd bought a used 2016 Nissan Altima with about 50k miles on it this February. The only issues the car had at purchase was corroded battery terminals, which I've already replaced, and a worn suspension I plan on replacing. I've kept up with maintenance and recently I've seen a noticeable drop in fuel economy. It went from 40-45mpg to 20-30mpg and I don't really drive hard, however I do drive about 60 miles four days out of the week for work. How can I fix this, and what preventative measures should I take?

Well that's really horrendous gas mileage I would say check the spark plugs the air filter check the mass air flow sensor and make sure the transmission is shifting into all gears it might be staying in a lower gears too long

Thanks Scotty love your videos glad I finally get to ask a question.
