5 speed autos in the 2008-2012
6 speed autos in the 20013-2017
Scotty always mentions how some Honda automatic transmissions are weak. Is that the case with these accord transmission

Automatic transmission in Honda Accord is a weak point of the car and this shows itself in V6 models. The 4 cylinder engines do not have that much issue with the transmission.

@yaser is correct.
The transmissions when mated to the V6 have a history of struggling to manage the power. But when mated to a 4 cylinder motor with less power, you see a lot less issues and failures.
It's a trade off really.
