Hi guys, I'm having a slight problem with my 2005 Avensis 1.6VVTI:
*When i touch the throttle, the revs need about half a second to a second to rise up. Same drill when releasing it for the revs to die down.
*It's a manual, so when I press the clutch to shift, the revs will spike for half a second, as if I'm still holding the gas pedal, which I'm not.
*No hesitation, loss of power, or any of that - the car runs and drives fine, it's just the delay.
*No check-engine light.
Where should I look into: cleaning the throttle body, checking the throttle position sensor, or sth else? And if cleaning the throttle does nothing, what should be my next move?
First time I video make your car run better with a little spray cleaner. That often will fix it, but if not, try having the fuel injectors pressure cleaned or try some good cleaner in the tank
Look for vacuum leaks
