Hey Good afternoon,
I have a 2014 Hyundai Elantra with an automatic transmission possessing over 136,000 miles and has a B1112 code that I scanned with my BlueDriver. I got the battery and alternator tested at Autozone a couple days ago and they said they were both in good condition. What could this be and how can I tell a mechanic to fix this? Could it be a bad spark plug? Thank you for your time.

it would actually be visible to millions of people. Basically anybody with internet access.
How old is your battery?
I actually do not know. The automobile was bought used and the dealership never said how old it was.
Could be a bad voltage regulator within the alternator. Are you getting about 14.5 volts measured at the battery with the car idling?
Yeah I believe so. It could be a tenth off of the decimal, very minuscule. I think if it was not, then the guy at autozone would not have told me the alternator is ok and the battery as well.
Doc I think most modern vehicles don't have regulators in the alternator any more. This function is performed by the computer. Same goes for IAC valves. Eliminated. One less thing to clean/replace.
