- I have a 2005 Honda CR-V with a extremely small transmission fluid leak. My mechanic told me I had a transmission fluid leak, and they’re was no dipstick in my transmission.. come to find out they’re was a dipstick What the was seeing was the exposed breather tube for the transmission.. well I spent days trying to find a dipstick not knowing they’re was already 1 there and of course no dipstick ever fit the breather hole. Honda even went as far as to tell me the transmission was changed on the car. Long story short I poured bars stop a leak down the transmission breather tube… will that hurt my car or do nothing to it

Are you saying you poured Bar's Leak cooling system or head gasket stop leak down the trans breather tube? Or is it something that was supposed to stop transmission leaks? If anything but the latter you'd better get that stuff out of there ASAP, it will destroy your transmission. (If it was a transmission stop leak product it probably won't work but shouldn't do any major damage.)

If you have a transmission leak, the only way to fix it properly is to find the source and repair it. Stop leak products are a temporary fix and a permanent waste of money.
