I am changing the battery in a 2017 Honda Fit. After installing the new battery, does that car need to have the battery system reset using a scan tool?

No for a Honda. Do you have any issues after replacing the battery?
Haven't done it yet. Asking in advance to avoid issues. I have one of those OBD2 plugs/cables I can use to keep power to the car while the battery is disconnected so I don't lose radio programming, etc. Thank you for replying.
Your radio may have to be reset with the code in your owner’s manual.

if you use a memory saver (or any charger or 12V supply) then you don't need to do anything
