My mom has a 4 door 2012 Nissan Altima 2.5l somebody stolen her key fob so now I gotta  take out the original  BCM and  replace it with a  used BCM and get a new fob. (I think the compatibility years are 2011 to 2013)

My question is can I take a used Altima BCM  and place it in my moms Altima  will it work or do I have to get it reprogrammed for her car....

Thanks

Chris

I doubt that you need to replace the BCM to use a new remote.

i know i dont have to replace we want to replace it if not the key fob that was stolen will still work that is what i am trying to stop the stolen key fog from working on my moms can I dont want to have my mom wake one day and her car is gone, So the best thing is to change BCM.

I don't think that's how it works

Yeah I think you need to contact your Nissan dealer or certified locksmith to reprogram your new key fob/s..

i can program the fob to the BCM what I cant do is reprogram the BCM to my moms car, "That is if i even have to do reprogram it".

"That was my main questing do i have to reprogram the BCM TO my moms car"?

i didnt state the title  fully right on my main thread.  that is my fault..

As Joe said, that’s not how it works.. This should be of relevance to you - https://www.cruzetalk.com/threads/can-a-lost-key-fob-be-deactivated-by-the-dealer.226585/

No need to change the BCM. Find a locksmith to program a new fob.

You most certainly do not have to replace the bcm once the replace keys have been programmed to the existing bcm the old keys will no longer work to start or operate the locks on the vehicle
