Hey Scotty I'm a small scale mushroom farmer and am looking to buy a small compact cargo van for delivering fresh mushrooms to farmers markets and restaurants. I would love to hear your thoughts on which one you'd recommend.
Here are the ones I'm interested in:
Ford Transit Connect
Ram ProMaster City
Nissan NV200
I'm not looking for luxury, I'm looking for long term viability. I am excellent at maintaining my cars and do most work myself.
Also, I'll note that I'm open to SUVs but feel like the cargo vans would be better suited for delivering produce.
Tell me what you think.
P.S. I love your channel and the information you provide is outstanding! If Toyota made a compact I'd be extremely interested!
Just know the Ram is literally just a Fiat from Europe and Ram is also owned by Chrysler part of Fiat and all that I don't belive the quality is the greatest. I can't talk about the Nissan but if you take care of it it should last a good 100k miles. The Transit is cheaper made but you might want to consider it. The best one is a Mercedes diesel lol.
1-Ford
2-Nissan
3-Ram
I'm not too keen on the Transit line... They are cheaply made, and loud.
I've rented Promaster City's and they have had a much nicer package, but Chrysler's quality isn't always the best...
Don't know much about the Nissan, so I can't rate it...
If you take good care of it, I would go for the RAM... I hate how people judge things they don't know about, so I cannot rank them. But I would assume the RAM would last longer than the Transits - A friend has a 2011 and 2 of his coworkers with the same model have had their transmissions go out, and they rattle like no tomorrow, so I can't recommend them. The Nissan also has a crappy Jatco CVT, so I would go with the RAM for sure. And, it's cheaper too...
People love to rate on stereotypes, I rate on research and personal experience with the vehicles themselves.
