I’m looking into getting a four door economical car with a manual transmission. I’m mainly looking at Honda or Toyota as I know they are both good. Which year, make, and model should I try to go for on the Accord, Civic, Corolla, Camry on being the most reliable? Thank you

Awesome thank you. I’ll look into those videos.

You’ve picked wisely sticking to your list, just avoid the years with the known problems. As with any used car, have it inspected by a good mechanic, before you buy it.

What is your price point? If we know the general price I could give you many years to avoid and many that are good. Just as an example, you might want to avoid the 2007 Camry, but snatch up any 2006 Camry, but that may not be relavent to you as you are looking at 2016 models for example.

But as a general rule, avoid any vehicle in its first year of the generation, and Toyota with the 2.4 engine (used cars) and any Honda with the 1.5 Turbo engine.

In the websites FAQ page, you can find lots and lots of lists and tips for buying used cars, including some Toyotas and Hondas you better avoid.

manual honda on the same level as a toyota

check with ur insurance sometimes they charge more for honda because people modifiy them / they get stolen

in my opinion manual hondas are much funner than a toyota
