Hey Scotty,
I have a 2001 Toyota RAV4, with 226,244 miles, front-wheel drive with automatic transmission. IM looking to buy some snow tires for my RAV4 since I live in the Chicago area where we get a pretty decent amount of snow. I don't know what tire brand is best. I'm looking to buy for all 4 wheels, looking to buy not too cheap but not too expensive, about less than $1000. Any recommendations? Thank you in advance!

I recently ran into a newer RAV4 with snow tires and took a picture of them because I was looking into some myself. I haven’t dug in, but I do so a ton of people getting BF Goodrich for mud and snow:
If you can find them wherever you reside nokian makes a phenomenal snow tire and they’re not crazy expensive. From personal experience they’re one of the best out there
If you want tires that are great and snow and also are good for year-round use I'd recommend the Michelin defender or the Michelin crosstour
I have bridgestone blizzacks on my WRX. Havent tested them out yet, but Ive heard theyre one of the best also. Think they were $180 a tire last year.
Nokian's newest hakka R5 for your car is on sale at some places for about $125 a tire.
I have the suv version for my Lexus GX470, and after going through some serious snow, and slippery ice today, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. It is like ice rinks all over where I live after the latest storm.
