Scotty,
my next car will be a Toyota with 4x4.
Haven’t decided between tundra, Tacoma, highlander or AWD sienna....I change my own oil and want my car to have the OLD style easy spin on oil filter, and not the canister refill, way too complicated and messy, multi part oil filter, with drains, seals, etc..... My van has that now, and I hate it!!
Where can I find a list of toyotas 4x4 that shows what type of oil filters are used?
also, if it ends up being a truck, is there any problem with cutting an access hole out of the skid plate so I don’t have to remove it each time ?
Latest Toyota A25A-FKS engine uses spin-on oil filter.

@figmund-sreud
I saw that on the 2020 rav4. Do you know what other cars will have that motor?
Camry, Avalon, RAV 4, … special high compression version of this engine is used on hybrid vehicles as well, … I think.
