Scotty, I have a 2019 Honda Accord Sport with 81,000 miles. It is time for brakes all the way around. I want a decent set, but don’t want to break the banks. I’m looking for pads and rotors that offer good stopping, no noise, and minimal brake dust. I know as far as pads go you like the Akebono pads. They are a bit pricey. I’m not ruling them out, but what are some good less pricey options. Also I seem to be having issues with the rotors. All the other trim levels I can find rotors, but the sport model seems to be an issue. I know Autozone does not have the rotors. Any suggestions?
Just get the oem rotors and pads from Rock Auto, Parts Geek, etc. Give them your VIN for correct parts.
Out of curiosity, why do you want to replace your rotors already? Are they grooved too deep to be saved by turning? Some part stores offer rotor turning to take out warp or groves made by disc brake pads worn down to bare metal. An honest machinist will refuse to work on rotors that are too thin or out of specifications. My frame of reference is my car still has it's original 4 rotors and it has over 175K miles.
how much do you pay for turning?
Turning rotors on modern cars is more expensive than buying new ones in most cases.
I never bought rotors. Hence my curiosity.
Adding to the suggestions for where you can find OEM pads and rotors (but definitely go with OEM as it's not something you'll be replacing every year and it's not worth it to me risking getting something that might not be good enough quality):
