Brakes upgrade

Hello, my question is that I've been reading in some Toyota forums, some guys that had "upgrade" their Camry's brakes using calipers, rotors and pads from a Highlander or Sienna.

Is that recommended?

If you drive normally, the OEM camry brakes are totally just fine.

I'm not an aggressive driver, but sometimes with this generation Camry, they brakes give no confidence. When I drive my father's 2009 Camry brakes feel so much stronger than my 2016. I've seen the same comment about this generation brakes

Have you tried using different types? Ceramic ones are good in stopping.
