Hi Scotty,
I own a 2005 Toyota Solara V6 SLE, today I did the tire rotation because I noticed the car shaking slightly when the speed is over 70MPH. So when I took the tire out, I saw the brand picture for my front strut is a large "Y" inside of a rectangle, and the model number is 202202***** something, sorry I forgot to take a picture of the strut this time, but is there any chance that anyone knows the brand of this strut? Because the rear struts are the same brand and are leaking, I plan to replace them with KYB but now I'm just curious whether the old one is KYB or Toyota OEM (which I think is KYB as well), I did some searches but didn't confirm it, now the brand picture of KYB is very different.
Thank you all for the reply in advance!
Ethan
Yeah it is KYB. Now. The only problem is all car companies are making things cheaper. In the modern kybs generally don't last as long as the older ones did because they're making them cheaper
@scottykilmer thank you so much for the information! About the strut, I also heard people mention about sachs strut are as good as KYB, is that true? Thank you for the reply in advance
