Scotty, My mom just got a brand new 2024 Toyota Camry last week, it's a really good car, and not that this is a problem, but I noticed that it doesn't have the button to push to start the car, instead it has the car key, which is weird, I believe Honda's have the button, Why doesn't Toyota's have it? I'm just wondering
doesn't have the button to push to start the car (…) Why doesn't Toyota's have it?
The Camry is offered with keyless entry and a start-stop button.
Your Toyota doesn’t have it cause you didn’t purchase a car equipped with it.
This is not a bad thing, those ‘push button start’ ignition systems add unnecessary complexity.
But it’s really one of those things that do not matter one bit - who cares if you press or twist?
That’s definitely not “technological” as my car for example doesn’t have a stop-start button or an ignition switch - no need to push anything, it just works.
Scotty has a whole video on why keyless systems are stupid
Why doesn't Toyota's have it?
Toyota does have it. For quite some time now.
it doesn't have the button to push to start the car, instead it has the car key
I would be absolutely relieved that it has a normal key and not a button. And you will be thankful too, if you end up owning this car for a while.

Toyota has common sense. Anybody with nefarious intent can steal your car if you have keyless entry. It works via proximity sensors, and it's very easy to pick up with some simple tools. A transponder key is MUCH more secure. Even if you somehow manage to cut an exact key, the car won't start because it needs to be programmed.
I would love a car with a key instead of push button. Consider yourself lucky!
I'm not mad about it or anything, it's just I thought it would but it's all good because I also heard that those push start button causes problems, I also heard Scotty talk about it in his videos as well
