Hello Scotty,
My Volvo S40 1.8 from 2005 never burnt oil, ive take it for a long ride and now i noticed that my oil is low.
Quarter of a gallon each 2000 miles.
The engine is dry , it doesnt leak.
I use 10w40 oil.
What can i do?
Overall mileage on the vehicle?

Change the PCV valve. Hope it helps. If it did not, Keep eyes on the oil level and add as needed.
