I have a 2019 Subaru Forester Base Model Automatic. Got it used at 27k miles, now at 32k.
Car starts up and drives normal on my very short drive to work, but I have a strong odor like burning rubber coming out the vents.
The smell starts when I am parked, so it can’t be brakes or tires.
It is extremely cold outside and my car is parked outside. Can extreme cold weather lead to this? Talking -8F and strong wind. Merry Christmas to me…
Thanks for any help.

Have you tried changing the cabin air filter?
