Sorry if this is off topic, but after seeing one of Scotty's videos, I tried to get this locally and all over the web. I can't get it anywhere.
Does anyone where I can get this stuff? Or is there a similar product.
I want it for conditioning rubber parts, not stopping leaks.
Thanks!
Scott
Why do you want it in the first place? All it does is cost a lot and delay inevitable seal failure.
Looking to buy another car. Just want to keep it going until I find another one. And I don't like oil spots in my garage or driveway.
Fair enough.
The chemical industry is experiencing a.shortage right now. The makers of AT-205 have said it is sold out through the end of the year at least.
So many people looking for AT-205.
Two things to mention:
1. The company has stated they are sold out through the end of the year.
2. Just fix your actual issue instead of using a bandaid.
Hello, I’ve been trying to buy the AT-205 re seal but it has not been available for a very long time. I want to use it to rejuvenate the rubber trim as Scotty showed in one of his videos. What do you recommend in place of the AT-205 to keep the rubber trim healthy? I hope there is an alternative product that will suffice until and if the AT-205 is back.
thank you for ALL your help with this and with everything else!
regards
sdott
Rubber trim as in car door seals?
Try "Super Lube 56104 Silicone Oil 100 CST".
Silicone oil leaves a protective coating on the rubber and keeps doors from sticking or freezing in the Winter.
AT205 is just a stop gap measure to postpone the inevitable - replacing the leaking seal.
This has been addressed many times already if you do a Search at the top:

The AT205 and others are just band aid fixes for a problem that needs a proper fix, new seals installed.
I'm in Canada and I also cannot find AT-205 Reseal, so I am substituting it with Blue Devil Oil Stop Leak, which there seems to be sufficient supply.
I easily picked up an 8 oz/237 mL bottle at my local Canadian Tire.
Don't take my word for it since I'm no chemist, but the active ingredient seems similar, 100% "Di(ethylene glycol) ethyl ether", where AT-205 just says 100% "Glycol ethers" (according to their Safety Data Sheet).
Good thing I don't have a leak, I'm just gonna put it in a spray bottle to spray rubber materials like Scotty does.
Unfortunately the 18205 resale even in the United States is getting almost impossible to find. But I don't know any products that work like that I've never found one unfortunately. I'm sure there are a lot of anti-corrosion sprays they all basically in the same formulation I'm sure there's a good one in Europe
Unavailable until next year due to supply chain problems, per the manufacturer.
Do you know a similar product? Thanks for the reply. 👍
I ordered my bottle from advance a few days ago, I am picking it up tomorrow!
it's going to be a used bottle that was refilled with water 😆
@mountainmanjoe Hopefully it is not the at-205 knockoff or scam LOL! I am hoping to just use it on some old cars to help keep the rubber hoses in good shape.
You don't need ATP 205 reseal, you need a new seal.
Hey guys, I see some people through reviews have had trouble with the ATP At-205 re seal where they get pretty bad misfires, clogged oil filters, or it just doesn't do much at all. I assume the latter is because the rubber is in too poor of condition or there simply isn't enough to keep things structurally sound even if you use the rejuvenation fluid, but with the clogged oil filter and misfires, I was wondering what I need to look out for? Is it just a matter of making sure you put the correct amount in?
It might help if front or rear engine seals on the crank are leaking. It won't help if gaskets are dripping oil.
Hey scotty, i'm looking for at205 alternatives because I live in Asia and they don't sell them here. I'm planning to buy it for the rubber rejuvenation properties for extending the rubber life. What are your opinions in silicone spray like wd40 silicone.
Hey thanks for all the great video tips Scotty, but I cannot find the re-seal product you recommended in the UK, is it possible you buy it from the US and send it to me? {black}:laughingoutloud:
Hi Scotty:
I know you recommend reseal AT 205 for spraying on rubber bushings, boots etc to keep them in good shape, but I cannot find it anywhere up here in Canada. Do you recommend an alternative that I might be able to use? Thanks
ljones
hi i searched the internet and could only find some at monkey wrench canada. even usa shows none available. i'm going to order some and see what happens.
looked at reviews at monkey wrench and found a lot of complaints, so i'll stay away from them. maybe scotty has something else to recommend.
i found some at the following site. I have searched high and low, this is the only place i found in canada.
https://www.thewrenchmonkey.ca/
You could try DOT4 brake fluid as an alternative. It's basically the same thing.

Is there anything else as good as AT-205 Re-Seal? It is tough to find....
Here is something fishy about AT 205 reseal. I wanted to spray the rubber bushings on my truck like Scotty did in his videos so I found some on eBay and ordered a bottle. A week later, the seller canceled my order and refunded my money stating “there was a problem with my address”. I knew that was BS because I have ordered over 300 items over the years without issue. But I checked to be sure. No issues. Now, there had been a dozen or more other adds for AT 205 on eBay but, they have all of the sudden mysteriously vanished? Are the bushing manufacturers pissed at Scotty?
it means they don't have it, but they don't want to take down the listing. It happens a lot.
In Scotty's video's he just calls it a clear polymer. I found the material safety data sheet: file:///C:/Users/New%20User/Downloads/sds_at_205_at_207_atp_at_205_re_seal.pdf and they just say it contains glycol ethers. I can't find it anywhere, tried calling auto supply stores, looking on ebay, amazon etc. Anyone know where it can be found or an alternative?
DOT 4 brake fluid is glycol ether
by the way, that's a folder on your personal computer, not a web address.
I just started looking around my area of Chicago for it also.. can't find any.
I can’t find this stuff anywhere anymore? Usually I grab it off Amazon. I need it to help keep my 132k mile. 2013 Chevy Cruze timing chain gasket is on its way out and this stuff keeps it under wraps and saves be about $800-1300 from the quotes I have gotten. TMI but I just have my first baby and I’m trying to make my $$ stretch. I know what you’ll say is go get it fixed.
Hi what is the equivalent to AT 205 here in the UK, its sold out on amazon
Kind regards RENO
Some other forum poster stated that Lubegard LG-FIXX is a close equivalent.
Hi Scotty, this Craig RN, the owner of the POS 2002 Sonata you replaced the radiator on.

I purchased a 2008 Lexus is250 Automatic, Sapphire with Tan leather. 212,000 highway miles from a Nurse that originally bought it in 2010 in North Carolina after getting her Master's Degree in Nursing, then she moved to Houston in 2017.
Car runs Great. 4 Brand New Michelin Tires. Has All the Service Records & Receipts.
I Paid $6500 Cash. I Paid a Mechanic $200 to totally check everything and he said it was in Good Condition. No Accidents.
I Love this Lexus IS250. Super Fast.

My Question is:
-------------------
Every Store including Amazon is totally out of stock of AT205 Reseal.
---------
Do you know where I might can find a bottle of It ?
And where should I make sure to you use it on my Lexus after I buy some ?
And is there a Substitute for it you could recommend just in case it continues to be out of stock ?
Thanks,

Don't waste your money. Just fix it properly with a new seal.
Hi Scotty, I live in Australia at Hervey Bay on the Pacific Coast and I've been following your channel on YouTube for over 3 years. I enjoy and appreciate your extensive knowledge and advice.
For nearly 2 months now I have been trying to purchase AT-205 Re-Seal. I was impressed with your review on the product. Despite extensive searching online (Amazon etc.) both in the United States and Australia, I find that it is unavailable.
Do you know more about it's availability? Can you assist me in locating AT-205 Re-Seal?
Amazon shows: "Currently unavailable.
We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock."
Thank you for your help. I appreciate your advice.
Regards, Robert
Congrats on your move! Hey I can't find AT-205 re-seal very easily. Is there another rubber conditioner that you recommend? I've heard that some sacrifice the longevity of the rubber just to just make a quick seal now. I'm looking instead for something to prolong their life (and currently have a tiny suspension squeak).
Thanks for your help over the years!
-Eric
For the last 4 months AT-205 has not been available on Amazon. Do you have any idea why this is? I get no response from the company.
