You know, I'm a fan of ECU tuning for extra power. But that being said, the reason they are cracking down is for emissions/pollution reasons like most things in California. If it is a C.A.R.B. approved tune, you're fine. And any good tuner should be able to make a tune to meet that standard.
This law only targets cars running poor tunes that pollute too much. I have no issues with that as we need to do what we can for the environment/climate change. I'd like to see more of this. One thing that I would REALLY like to see is emissions tests on diesel motors. Too many people tamper with those and pollute like crazy.
I have a question @mod_man. Do you ever put cold air intake and a different performance exhaust on your vehicles as well as ECU tuning. I see most people do that including a YouTuber, Goonzquad, on the 2019 Ford Raptor.
Yes I do. I haven't done it with my Hondas but many of my other cars, like my Z28, have all that and more.
What do you expect from a state the leaders of which sole purpose is to take away all your rights? Fortunately, I was able to escape from California in 2003.
They are getting rid of gasoline and making all electric what do you expect ?

This sucks. @Kerem and I live in California. I hope I can still buy used cars when everything's electric. I blame it on politicians(A.K.A. Karens).
