I have a 2018 Silverado with the 5.3L V8. I was thinking about buying the Range AFM disabler, but i am concerned about long term effects on the engine. I know the AFM is controlled with oil pressure by sending oil through small passages to control the lifters. Will turning this off cause oil to be trapped in these passages and eventually clog up causing issues down the road?

Clogging only can happen if the oil is really dirty or you literally throw dirt in. Lol do regular maintenance, 5-7k miles depending and you will be fine. IMHO it's better to find a good little one of these things than cylinder deactivation. It's all emissions bs and will kill your engine faster than running full cylinder all the time.
