Hi Scotty,
Thanks to your videos I bought a used 2005 Toyota Matrix with roughly 113,000 miles. I love it, it runs like a clock. I had started to hear clicking sounds when I would turn and found out the CV axles needed to be replaced and I did replace them. The clicking when turning stopped but the car still clicks sometimes when I start to drive after the car is parked over night. Is there still an issue I should be worried about or is that just because of old age? I don’t mind the sound but I wanted to make sure it wasn’t a problem.
Thanks,
KJ Matrix
Well it depends what's clicking. A lot of times exhaust will click. Is it heats up? That's normal. But if you're talking about you, turn the wheel and it clicks then either they got your bad axles. Or you have something else that's clicking like wheel bearing or a tie rods worn or a ball joints worn
The clicking definitely sounds like its coming from the front of the car. Both CV axles and tie rods have been replaced so it must be either the wheel bearings or the ball joints.
Thanks!
