Car cranks but won’t start

Toyota Highlander 2008

my car lost power while I was on the the road

I started it by stepping on accelerator then it went off the moment I accelerated

I called a mechanic, he checked the gas pump and scanned the car

It showed no error but I got the car scanned some most ago when I had a bad plug coil which was replaced

The scanner also picked up bad oxygen sensors so when the mechanic said it showed no errors I told him about my oxygen sensors and concluded that my ecu is either damaged or needs to reprogrammed

also my check engine light has been on

I was told my bad oxygen sensors caused that

Start off first by reading the FAQ section of this website to diagnose this exact problem.

Then scan the car for any DTCs & post them here.

I already scanned the car
It showed no errors and I’ve scanned before and it showed bad oxygen sensors

Is your CEL on, presently?

You say “my ecu is either damaged or needs to reprogrammed”.

The first thing I would want to know is how he is coming up with this diagnosis.

Your gonna need another scan in my opinion, check for codes, check for

fuel pressure with a gauge, then check for air and spark.

Will the car run if you introduce an alternative to confirm it’s a fuel related issue?

Check the relay.....
