Hey So I have 2011 Ford Crowne vic police interceptor and it used to take longer than usual to start then stopped starting at all after that I went to autozone to test the starter, alternator and the battery and it was all good and Im afraid the problem will come again

If the engine cranks but is not firing up it's typically either a fuel delivery problem or ignition problem. A quick-and-dirty test is to spray some starting fluid into the intake then crank the engine. If you have spark the engine will briefly fire up.

If there is no spark there are a lot of things which can cause that but a common one would be the crank position sensor.

If the engine is able to crank but cannot start, then you have to check the following:

  1. Spark
  2. Fuel
  3. Compression
  4. Air

You need these 4 things to start an engine. Most likely the compression and air can usually be eliminated since compression doesn't go bad suddenly and air is readily available (unless filter is very clogged up). You can take out one of the spark plugs and crank the engine to see if it's sparking (be sure to hold it close to ground so it has proper ground). If it's not, then something is wrong with the ignition system. Then check to see if there is pressure building up in the fuel rail for proper injection. If not, then the fuse to the fuel pump is bad or the fuel pump itself is bad. If the fuel is injecting fine, then don't overcrank the engine as fuel will flood the engine. If this happens, remove the fuse to the fuel pump and crank the engine a couple times with proper ignition to get it to spark.
