I am looking for a car for a small family (2+1). I don't want to purchase a small car. I have driven 4 Toyota camrys, so looking for something else. My prefered options are mid/large Sedan or a mid-size SUV. Not older than 2014. I don't have a specific need of SUV, but looks like there was a trend to purchase SUV from 2013 onwards. Therefore there are heaps of SUVs on the used market compared to Sedan. Yearly run approx 15,000Km. By budget is 20000 Australian dollar ~ 14500 USD, I am from Australia.
My criteria are as follows -
Value for money
Economical in maintenance and registration and insurance
Good resale value
Reliable
Petrol car, considering the yearly run
Under 80000Km on the odometer
Not the base model
My choices are as follows-
Mazda 6
Mazda CX5
Toyota RAV4
Looking for your view.
Camry/Highlander
@nick20s
Thanks for your response. Highlander will not fit my budget. Last 10 years I am driving Camry, different badges, different years. So looking for something else.
Lexus ES350 or Avalon or RAv4 is also nice
I would say get the Toyota Rav4 or the Toyota Camry, the Mazda's are decent, but nothing can beat an older (before 8 speed auto) Toyota's reliability.
Get the RAV4.
