I have a hyundai elantra 2008, 410832 mile, automatic
couple days ago I heard like a misfire, check by the OBD scanner and it says (system too rich bank 1) so I cleaned the throttle body, I did an OBD after that and no errors. After 3 days when I start the car it shakes a lot, and when I put reverse it shakes as well
What is wrong with the car?
Sounds like your torque converter or transmission maybe starting to have issues. But it could also be a chunk of carbon inside the throttle body that got knocked lose when you cleaned it. I would suggest taking the throttle body off and cleaning both sides , your gonna need to put a new gasket on it when you reinstall it. If you don’t feel comfortable get a mechanic to do it. If that doesn’t take care of the problem then you need start examining the tranny. When was last service on it?
And if you really have 400k + miles pat yourself on the back. Your 200k over the average lifespan of your make and model.
