Car stalls after idle/revving

I've been looking at this 1991 Chrysler LeBaron with around ~140k mi I believe. It's an automatic. Came to look at it after hearing it was for sale for $500. Owner is a family friend who tried fixing but couldn't find the problem. Came over and finnicked with it. The car maintains idle sometimes but then ends up shutting off. Drove it up the street and kept stalling multiple times. Stalling could range from after a few seconds to after a whole minute of driving or idling. Sitting idle or after rev didn't make a difference and still stalled. Occasionally, the car had to be cranked again to get the engine to start, but only happened about 5 times. Checked fuses and filled tank with gas, but still the same result. Brother checked the filters for gas and found a rat nest, but took out the filter and still ran the same as before. Brother believes that fuel is being delivered to the engine.

Any ideas?

Don't bite that's one of the worst cars ever made they had so many problems with their fuel injection systems as they aged it would just be a rest and US buying one of those crappers
