I saw your video about the Check engine light causing a domino effect of other warning lights and wanted to ask. My engine light came in. A scan showed catalytic converter but my mechanic said if the engine isnt running bad and gas mileage isn’t suffering then not to worry about it. Is this ok??

You left out a few details, like the actual results of the scan as well as others:
There are generally multiple possible causes for a particular code. Diagnosis is required to find the actual cause.

depends what the fault was. Simply saying "catalytic converter" is really ambiguous . It could be worn out, or plugged up, or there's an exhaust leak, failed from engine misfires, etc.
