Hello Scotty,
I own a 2013 Dodge Challenger SXT has 68,000 miles. Check engine light won't go off. Receive code P0741. Have had transmission dropped and serviced, serviced Torque converter clutch, checked power train module, diagnose and repaired TCC solenoid also check pressure regulator and wire harness everything had serviced after driving car under 20 miles check engine light still comes on. Won't pass emissions test. Please help. This has been going on over a year.
Looking at the causes listed for that code it appears that what's left is "Transmission internal mechanical problem" or "Bad TCM".

Thank you Chuck Tobias. My mechanic has done all the above and after driving less then 20 miles check engine light will come back on. So frustrating
Kind of crazy to have a transmission error trip the engine light making it impossible to get the car inspected. Leave it to Chrysler.
Extremely crazy! Especially since it has such low mileage. Any other suggestions? I truly thank you for your time.
Unfortunately modern Chrysler products are not known for longevity. Other than bad TCM or internal transmission problems I would not know where to go with that. Maybe get another opinion from a mechanic that has a really fancy scan tool to diagnose what's going on.
Thank you so much Chuck, I really appreciate your feedback.
You might seriously consider finding another mechanic.
Thank you Doc. Do you know a good one near West Covina, CA lol.
People I know have reported that "Your Right Solution" on Venice Blvd. in L.A. is very good, though the shop is on the wrong coast for me to use personally. (They're in the mechanic referrals section of our site FAQ.)
Thank you Chuck. I will check your referrals site. Goodnight!
Sorry Chuck one more question? Are the repair shops listed on the FAQ site accredited shops. Would you suggest to take to a shop that specializes in transmission or any or shop?
They are shops that people have reported as dealing fairly and doing a good job for their customers. Certainly internal transmission repair is a very specialized area but you may be dealing with an electrical or electronic problem that a good general practitioner can track down.
I truly appreciate all your input and suggestions! I will keep going until I solved the issue. I will let you know the outcome. Have a great evening. Thank you for listening. This is a great website.
