Hey Scotty, I Have A 2013 Chevy Sonic With 38,000 Miles, My Ac Blows Hot And I Tried Adding New Refrigerant But It Did Not Take It. Do You Know What Else Can Cause The Ac To Blow Hot?
This is frequently a symptom of low refrigerant. (This causes uneven cooling in the evaporator.)
Too many things an cause that, from failed AC compressor to ...
take the car to a shop and have them check it out.
the problem that I found is that the Ties have slipped off the Track inside the Dash Consol.
1) take out the Glovebox, (Open the Glovebox, Push on the sides to release the tabs from the Run. Bring out of the Track. then there's a Stopper on the right side of the Glovebox a further guide to protect damage from opening the glove box too far)
2) with you sitting or kneeling outside the Passenger side door looking into the Dash Consol side of the open glove box you'll see a "White Plastic Gear". with the car running and the AC Full blast "Move the Gear Action" until you feel Cool Air again.... (the Portal Gate automatically Flips up when not guided by the Consol climate Control dial.
Hey Scotty, I Have A 2013 Chevy Sonic LT With 41,000 Miles, The AC Blows Hot On The Drivers Side And Cold On The Other, Once I Drive It For A While On A Highway It Starts To Cool On The Drivers Side Finally, But If I Turn The Car Off And Turn It Back On It Does The Same Thing, What Could Be The Problem?
