So why everyone don't want to buy a Chinese car they are great and reliable and cheaper
just like these brand
GAC manufactures with Toyota & Honda so they use Toyota/Honda parts engine etc.
Changan manufactures with Ford & Mazda
What’s your opinion on Chinese cars?
My opinion:
The Chinese can't make a halfway decent tire. And you're asking why people don't buy their cars?
My thoughts on that.
Like GAC they literally use toyota parts so what the difference
If someone gave me a Fender guitar and asked me to play a song, I couldn't. Because I'm a drummer.
You can have all the nicest gear and parts, but if you don't know how to use them it doesn't mean a thing.
Have you researched the track record of Chinese cars? It isn't pretty.
you CAN'T BE SERIOUS!
Chinese cars?
They haven’t proven themselves yet.
They are knockoff cars that are basically worthless. Chinese quality really? Koreans build better cars than them for gods sake. Worse, they are knockoffs of actually good (or sometimes already bad) cars. I've seen them be basically copies of Buicks, Hyundais, Toyotas... everything. Maybe they might make a decent EV. They are so cheap they can't bring them here because they wouldn't even meet the 1970s dated safety standards.
Just tell us what continent you are in and we'll recommend a much better cheap option. Like mentioned above, get yourself a Dacia Sandero if you have to buy new. Or, buy smart and get a used Japanese car.
It seems the more east you go in Asia, the better the cars are Indian made<Russian<Chinese<Korean<Japanese (of course this is generalization).
tbh I’m between two cars
The Renault Cilo/symbol
Changan L7/alsiven
@Kerem Glad you downvoted my last comment lol. My brother seems like a Chrysler fan. I also downvoted myself too lol.
@alvin
Tell your brother to make an account and help out if he wants instead of using your account and contradicting yourself. People are spending serious money...
@deathstroke1
I would get the Renault Clio or Renault Symbol over the Chinese cars. They are decently reliable and I see 15 20 year old ones rolling around in Europe/Asia. If you can I'd shoot for a used Toyota
@Kerem He doesn't really help out. This was the first time he was messing with me which kinda ruins my reputation of helping other people.
One of the main issues of most Chinese cars is that the companies are not expert in the field and couple years later they either don’t exist anymore or switch to another profitable thing.
Where I live they tried to sell Chinese cars - they were terrible.
”Great Wall steed” pickup trucks used engines based on 1970’s Mitsubishi Sirus and manual transmissions.
Most of them after 5-6 years already don’t have working AC, windows, gauges, they have knocking and the only thing that would be even maybe considered “ok” was the Mitsubishi engine.
some chinese cars are slightly better then what I’ve described, but they’re still piles of trash.
if you’re looking for an extremely cheap ($8,250) terrible car, buy a Romanian Dacia cause at least those use Renault parts and have mechanics that know how to fix them.
or save up another couple of thousands and get a better car like even a Hyundai… or just get a used car… but getting these chinese cheap cars is such a huge mistake.
Chinese cars do not hold a good reputation filled with replicas and junk (exceptions be the land rover knockoff, british cars are worse IMHO LOL) Surprisingly or not so much so, the best selling car in China is a VW lol
Even though everything do be made in China and India now, they don't hold up in the states or Canada. They tend to keep the better quality stuff for themselves. My cousin's and whatnot over there in china all have Chinese brand cars and all of em say they are great with no problems, think they own some Geely's. They say that it is similar in reliability like a Toyota here. I don't think china would give a damn about what the US thinks. If they can sell one here for pennies on the dollar, profit is profit. Looking at the newest polestar haha.
Historically their crash tests have been terrible (0 stars in many cases) but newer models seem to be improving. If the Chinese follow the Japanese pattern it will be a rough start with steady improvement. Or they could just keep turning out junk at the lowest price, we don't really know yet. Buying one today is definitely a gamble. (At this point few remember that the early Japanese cars imported to the U.S., like the Toyopet, were pretty crude machines ill-suited for American driving conditions.)
,
I agree.
it is a huge gamble. Some are decent and some are terrible.
I wrote down bellow on the terrible ones but here’s a pretty good one - a decent cheap EV SUV with 5 star safety.

The problem is corporate culture (please do not confuse this with ethnic culture):
- In most Japanese companies, especially automakers like Toyota and Honda, there is a culture that values teamwork and eliminating mistakes. That's why they make high-quality cars.
- In Communist Chinese companies, there is a culture that values cutting corners and covering up mistakes. That's why they put melamine in the dog food.
I thought it was baby formula
That too, and heparin, and a bunch of supplements, and....
They do not sell Chinese cars in North America so I don't know much about them. Even if they are terrible they could still do alright if they sell them for next to nothing.
Did you miss chinese nationals marching in protest because the car they had bought were junk?
Cheap Chinese cars equals cheap quality like Volkswagen with a lot of plastic parts around the car. This is my opinion not my brother's opinion.
Chinese cars are reliable, what are you talking about? Nissan have very quality cars compared to Japanese automakers like Kia and Mazda. Not to mention, Korean automakers like Toyota and Honda have bad transmissions and alternator failures.
This is my brother's post. My brother has an opposite statement lol
tell your brother to get his own account
@mountainmanjoe I know right. This is the first time he messed around with me lol.
