I am considering buying a 1979 Nissan 280zx for $13,900 from a dealership. The car has 70,509 miles, a 5 speed manual, and a 2.8L I6. The dealer says it runs well with no rust and is well maintained. I plan to negotiate the price as much as possible as the car is brown.
I want this as a daily driver and I plan to maintain it myself as much as possible. I am new to working on cars but I have experience working in shops with tools for other applications. Is this car a reliable daily driver? How expensive and abundant are the parts? How hard is it to maintain and repair as a beginner? Is this car a good buy?

I would not recommend anything from 1979 as a daily driver. The price is high, which is because it is a Z car and there is a niche market that will pay it.
They are not easy to work on and certain parts can be very expensive and hard to find.
For a daily driver, I wouldn't touch it. For a weekend toy it could be ok.
Definitely not the easiest car to work on and at ovwr 40 years old they will have there quarks and not an ideal daily
