I recently bought a 2003 corolla s automatic, it is giving me a code P0770, the car shifts fine and has 300,000 kms on it. I checked the transmission oil and it is at correct level, can you please help me?

That’s the first model year of the U340E - that gearbox did not have many solenoid issues…
If you don’t have a very severe leak near your oil pump,
the oil is the correct color (red. not pink or brown),
at the correct level (the correct procedure to check is written in your manual),
and it shifts well - I’d just continue to use it as it is.
Thankyou Dan, I will check the oil. Do you think this should cause the cruise control to turn on but not SET on a speed. The green light comes on but I am not able to set it.
Well as long as the chips okay you could leave it alone a lot of times they'll trip weird codes for solenoids that maybe not be working perfectly if it starts to shift bad then you might think about replacing a solenoid

It shifts good, the check light went off and came back again, and also do you think this would cause the cruise control to not SET to a speed? the green cruise control does come on.
