Dear Scotty,

I just finished watching your Maverick video, and I'm afraid I have to correct you on something. You claim that the new Maverick cost less than a Model T when accounting for inflation. I did a little research, and in 1925 a new Model T cost roughly $300, which is roughly $5000 in today's money. So even the most affordable Maverick is about 400% more expensive than the Model T.

Not quite.

In 1925, a police officer made around $1800/yr.

The Model T represents 2 months of his labour.

A police officer today makes about $60,000/yr

The Maverick represents approx 4 months of his labour.

The Model T pricing varied quite a bit depending on what year and body style you're talking about. When introduced in 1908 the Model T cost $825, about $24,000 in today's inflated currency. So in pure dollar terms that puts the Maverick spot on versus the cost of the original Model T.

Splitting hairs a bit here...
