Hello Scotty, I NEED HELP!! Lol
My 06 XB was running fine, but I drove in the rain the day before and hit a puddle the was deeper than expected and I think I shorted something out..
The following day after work my car began to stall and sputter. I got it home and checked my codes that came up. P0335 crankshaft position sensor.
I purchased two sensors, one from autozone and Amazon. I turned on the car put it in my driveway and jacked up the car. I switched out the sensor that I purchased from autozone. Went to turn on the car and I had no ignition.
I opened the sensor I purchased from Amazon, and got no ignition. So I decided to install the old original sensor and my car turned on but kept sputtering.
What did I miss? Do you have any ideas or suggestions? I will appreciate any help thanks.
Did you buy OEM sensors or cheap aftermarket ones? The car will not fire if the computer doesn't know the position of the crankshaft and camshaft, or the sensor is sending incorrect data. Cheap aftermarket sensors to save money are generally a bad thing to buy.
Why did you skip over the a.z. one again?
The amazon one sounds like it was made poorly. Did you spray out your sensor harness with electronics cleaner?
After cleaning it you should really let it dry out for a day or two to see if water made it inside the insulation.
