Crank Postition Sensor relearn?

2009 Pontiac Vibe 1.8l. I have replaced the crankshaft position sensor and now the car won’t start. I put the old one back in and it starts intermittently. Is the new sensor bad or is there a relearn procedure I have to do for the new sensor?

The OEM sensor should be made by Denso.

Following up: I ordered the sensor from Rock Auto for a Pontiac Vibe. The engine is a replacement engine from a scrap yard with only 120,000kms and I don’t know if it came out of a Vibe or Corolla. The new sensor is not a Denso part. Now, when I go to the Denso website and put in my car info (Pontiac), they show no sensors available, but if I put in a 2009 Toyota Corolla 1.8l, it shows the same sensor that was in the engine. Could the sensor be different for the 2 different models even if the engine is the same?
