I just purchased a 2000 C5 Corvette, 60,000 miles, 6 speed manual transmission. If I set the cruise control at 45 it will work but it will read 90. If I go higher than 50 it will read 100 and shut down. It reads exactly twice the speed I am actually going. Seems to be a computer problem? I have gone through and cleared all the codes but that doesn't help. A previous owner switched out wheels that were a different size - not sure if that would impact the computer? I am stumped. I've asked everyone I know, owners, dealers, Corvette forum.

very likely
Put factory wheels on and reflash PCM to factory settings.
Nailed it @mmj!
