hello again everyone, hope all is well, I am currently trying to do some data research but keep running into some very confusing numbers and see if i can get any help , so I am currently debating between a Camry LE , a Toyota 86 or a Mazda Miata, my current situation isnt really the type of cars because its just me and my wife, its 0-60 range and obviously for more room Camry would be it but i like.a bit more power in my driving , from what I have seen the Camry LE has a 0-60 of 5.8 sec the 86 has 6.6 and the Miata has about 5.7 sec but im not sure how accurate the numbers are.

Camry’s and Accord’s will surprise you at how fast they can get to 60mph.

I recommend test driving them and seeing if you like how it speeds up and handles.

i will for the accord the Camry SE i got to drive from FL to SC for a rental and it was faster than my 13 impala, i will keep that in mind though , thank you

If this is going to be your primary vehicle, it has to be the Accord/Camry, out of these three.

However, if this is going to be a weekend toy, test drive the Miata & 86(BRZ) and pick whichever one you like better.

Scotty has said numerous times he enjoys a Miata with a manual transmission, as a fun sporty car.

All the best!

PS. Test drive the Accord 2.0T. I’m sure @mod_man can tell you more about it’s sleeper credentials.

got it , i do remember scotty saying that, but alrighty ill keep that in mind my first car was a 02 Honda accord coupe v6 , was pretty fast for what it was, can only imagine a modern one. thank you btw!

If driving fun is a part of the equation then the 86 or Miata win hands down. In my search earlier this year the Miata was at the top of my list. The deal breaker on it was that my wife could not fit both her feet and a purse comfortably in the passenger seat (the ND has a weird hump in the floor section).

I ended up with a Toyota 86 and have had no regrets. However if going from 0-60 is what you think is fun/important this is not the car for you. This car is all about driver engagement. Frankly it beat the hell out of both the Toyota Supra and Porsche Cayman I looked at in driver feel, now power is a different story.

The Camry is a great car (we own one that our youngest daughter now drives) but there is nothing sporty or exciting about it.
