Hi, I have a 2013 Subaru outback 2.5I limited with 75K Miles on it with a CVT, should I consider having the fluid changed. I also have a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS with 159K Miles on it with a CVT and the fluid is getting brown I recently got this car free and I want both to last as long as possible until the wheels fall off. Thanks!

Depending on the history of the Mitsubishi, it may be on borrowed time.
I don't know what this car has been through my dad got me the car and we paid not even a penny for it and all I know about it is the engine stretched a timing chain and bent all of the intake valves (Typical for these early models) and somebody before me has been poking around a lot of electronics but as of now the car runs and drives good with no MIL.
The Subaru is my Mom's daily driver and she does not drive a Manual transmission and she wanted a Subaru so we got her one. The Mitsubishi is mine and I got it for free and it's full of problems but that is the point of it I rebuilt the engine recently and it drives perfectly good just the rear brakes binding for sitting too long. Both cars drive good now but I just want to have both these cars last as long as possible. I'm thinking I should not touch the Mitsubishi's transmission. What do you guys think?
Yup, I’d leave it alone to be honest. At the most, change the filter.
Yep I thought so.
Absolutely.....
These transmissions are all together another animal......
The Subaru does not even have a dipstick for the tranny and my mom does a lot of city driving and we just got the car almost a year ago and only put 6K on it so far. So I have no clue how the transmission is doing.
To be honest I would have got the manual for the Mitsubishi, it would have been a better choice but there's nothing I could do about that especially I'm only 14 years old.
