hello
so my girlfriends Audi a3 has been in the shop for a little over 2 weeks to fix her backup camera. She finally gets it back today and guess what, more problems!!!
Now the microphone doesn’t work when she calls, it sounds like she’s crumpling chips on the microphone!!!
where do we go from here, she’s been more than patient, most people would hate to leave thier car in the shop for more than a couple days. She’s given up on the car and doesn’t feel safe! What can we do from here, could we demand for a new car? Our money back? Really want to stick it to the dealership as our patience is lost. Any advice would be great thanks
Take it back. The Audi dealership should offer a complimentary loaner car while yours is being serviced for warranty repairs. Be insistent and persistent and if the service advisor you are dealing with isn't agreeable whatever the matter, then ask to speak to his manager and on up the chain of command until you are given the service you are entitled to.

That's an Audi for you. They're cheaply made and they demand quite high prices when they're brand new, only to fall like a rock when somebody purchases it. They're endless money pits. Rich men's cars. It's also an A3, the cheapest model, and they tend to burn oil.

Nowhere did you mention your vehicle's year, and that's critical for warranty work or you're footing the bill.
Sorry it’s a 2023 brand new car!
You have lemon laws in your state, if you're in the U.S. Check them. In most cases, the dealership can't sell you a defective car.

She picked the wrong car if she expects reliability.
Now the microphone doesn’t work when she calls, it sounds like she’s crumpling chips on the microphone!!! ... She’s given up on the car and doesn’t feel safe!
She doesn't feel safe because the microphone doesn't work? I must admit that hailing from an era when cars had unpadded steel dashboards, no seat belts, no crumple zones, and single-circuit drum brakes that's - just incredible.

Check your state's lemon law.

you can demand whatever you want, but it doesn't mean they have to do it. Read the terms of sale fine print in your contract.
Any advice would be great thanks
I'm not sure what you expect the dealer to do about the problem if they aren't aware of it. It seems the first step is to tell them about it. One way or another you are going to have to work with them.
Forgot to mention that now we hear a rattling sound underneath the front dash on the drivers side, that’s why she feels uncomfortable.
the service team has been messing with the electronics so whose to say the messed up the steering
I like to send emails with full details to them about things like this. They know that when it is sent like that, they can't deny things like they can when just spoken to them.
Include FULL details, and go back over everything that has been done, when it was done, what you were told, everything.
If they tell you something, send an email back to them in the same chain, and say, this is what you just said, please confirm it.
Be nice, but let them know that you need proof. If they insist on a phone call or in person, record it, or take a video with their permission.
When you have details, verifiable records, it really puts their feet to the fire.
Once it is fixed, sell it as fast as you can. If you want a luxury car, get a Lexus, Acura isn't a bad option either.
