[Solved] How do I check transmission mounts?

1993 Volvo 960 sedan. 2.9L straight 6 “white block”. Aisin-Warner AW30-40LE automatic transmission. Clunks & shakes when going into reverse whether from park or neutral and drive. I asked Scotty on live stream a week or two ago and he said to check motor mounts, transmission mounts, drive shaft/differential (since it’s RWD); if not then it’s probably the transmission itself. I checked the drive shaft and it’s solid and not loose or anything. I haven’t checked the motor mounts in the way Scotty has mentioned in many videos because I am unsure what part of the engine to jack it up from; however, my neighbor who’s worked in the industry for many years said if it’s motor mounts then the motor will noticeably shake at startup, so I started it up as he watched and he doesn’t think it’s motor mounts. So all that’s left to check is the transmission mounts, but I don’t believe Scotty has a video on that.

Well basically you jack the car up in the air on jack stands and then have someone put the car in drive and park back and forth. Then watch the transmission. If it wobbles back and forth the mounts are worn
