Scotty, I finally did it...I forgot to take my 2005 Mini Cooper S, 6 speed manual out of 1st gear before I started towing it behind my motorhome....I got about a mile down the road up to 60mph before someone flagged me down..The car seems to be fine but wondering if turning the engine over that fast has created some damage that will eventually make it fail?

I would be more worried about the transmission than the engine.
