Hey Scotty, I drive a 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage g4 SE. I put a gallon and a half of diesel in the gas tank, it's a 9 gallon tank, the tank was halfway full I realized my mistake then filled with regular and drove 5 miles home. Didn't hear any noise issues, I,ve called a few mechanics and they quote me up to $500 to remove the gas.
Some mechanics said I could just drive on it. I'm worried about ruining the oxygen sensors and destroying the engine. What should I do?
@oompah
I suggest just pumping t out yourself because 500 to pump out the wrong fuel is a rip off, and then after you pump it out just put some gas in there so it will most likely out number the diesel and little to no harm will be done.
If I was you I would go to Harbor Freight and buy a siphon. They are about $10 and use a hand pump to pull fluid out of a container (like a gas tank). While it is possible that you could drive with it in there, it's not worth the risk of ruining anything when a siphon is very cheap.

I think my car has anti siphon net or ball, not sure siphoning possible unless maybe a small enough tube? A mechanic told new most new cars have anti siphon measures.
Yes they do. Most have a screen in the filler neck. You can bypass the screen pretty easily by detaching the filler neck at the base and inserting the siphon directly into the tank.
Whatever will you do, I recommend drain out that mixture and put the pure gas in. You have 3 yrs old car. Is it still under warranty? If they find out what you had done, it can be void.
Drain all of it. For your peace of mind.
Your car was not made to drink diesel
