Disabling start/stop on 2017 Buick Lacrosse (and maybe also cylinder deactivation)

Is there a proven way to disable the engine start/stop feature on the 2017 Buick Lacrosse?

Same question for the cylinder deactivation (I think the V6 and turn into a V4 at times) ?

This company claims to have a simpler device that can do this https://www.rangetechnology.com

Does it really work?

Just do it manually. These aftermarket devices might mess up with other car electronics.

With respect to cylinder deactivation, Range Technology is proven, and one of the very few manufacturers I can recommend.  The C7 Corvette guys and also Chevrolet Silverado truck owners have been using that device for many years to stay in V8 mode the whole time and it works well with hardly any issues.  It won’t even drain your battery when plugged in like some other devices might.  On some cars you might be able to defeat cylinder deactivation by driving in a certain mode (but you have to be in that mode the whole time), but the Range Technology device makes it so it disables cylinder deactivation no matter which mode you are in.  I would only buy direct from Range Technology in order to get the latest firmware.  Keep in mind it might void your powertrain warranty if you show up to the dealer and they see it.  They could go so far as to make a note of it in their system (like during an oil change) and later deny you coverage if you have a warranty claim on your powertrain.  Just be aware.

Can I disable my 2017 Buick Lacross engine's auto stop/start? It shuts down when I stop the car at red lights. I've seen control boxes with an OBDII connnector for that. Do you recommend?
