Hi scotty my family has a 1995 dodge Ram 2500 with the 8L V10 engine with 120000 miles. Last year the engine blew and lost compression and it has been difficult to find a new engine. is it possible to put the V8 from another Ram around the same year since they are more of a common engine to find. Would we be able to link it with the V10 transmission? or any suggestions on what we should do with the truck we are the original owners.

It is possible but imo not worth the cost in relation to the value of that truck/age. I'd trade and accept the loses and move on.
