This is why you should get rid of your Dodge Ram ASAP

Hey Scotty, question for you.

I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT 5.7L Hemi with about 120k miles. It doesn’t really have any major issues excluding the common Ram rust and about $300-$700 a year in maintenance, do you recommend I sell it/trade it in? I love the newer fords and would probably go for either a used 2018 or newer V6 turbo (tons in my area) or the 2022 Lightning since I rarely haul. Thoughts?

Thanks Scotty!

I would keep what you got.  The newer Ford F-150 trucks with Ecoboost and 10-speed automatic transmissions are not best for longevity, and the new Ford EV (Lightning) - who knows what issues it will have in the first few years.  You don’t want to be a guinea pig for that vehicle.  If you wanted a newer Ford go with the 2017 model year and older F-150 with 2nd Gen Coyote 5.0 and 6-speed AT.

You do not have many issues with your truck and in this market, you better keep driving what you got.

Good Scotty's clickbait style title. I don't know if this is a normal maintenance price range in your area. If it still serves you, why not keeping it?
