Brake problem after fender bender

This month has been weird.

So our family has a 2012 Ford F-150 FX4 5.0L V8 which we got in 2019 and put around 55,000K on it (Originally had 79K). It's held up fine until now.

This month it was hit in the rear right bed corner and it wasn't that bad, really just a dent. But a day later, my mom was driving it and it made a weird grinding noise from the same area it got hit, then she came to a stop sign, tried to hit the brakes, but the pedal went straight to the floor, and she rolled through the stop sign. They came back and a few hours later, my stepfather was driving it and they completely stopped working. I've seen things for the 3.5 about brake booster issues, but his is a 5.0 so I'm not sure. Also, prior to this it needs new rotors, and the pads were just replaced, so I'm not fully sure. Please help.

If the pedal went to the floor that's a hydraulic system problem. Have you checked the brake fluid level?

Yes, I forget to mention that the day before the fluid seemed a bit low, so my stepfather topped it off.

Check your brake system carefully for leaks. Bear in mind the master cylinder can leak into the booster and you would probably not see that unless the master cylinder is pulled back. (The master cylinder can also just leak internally but in that case you would not lose fluid.)

Okay, I'll see about any leaks or so. Thanks for the advice!
