Hey, I have a 1999 BMW 323i sedan and I’ve been having an issue on my door locks. One day I did a key cylinder rebuild and all my door looks were fine but when I put my new rebuilt key cylinder back in my car, all the doors lock besides my driver door when just coo-coo crazy. “ Done Deal, meh. “ as my auto teacher would say.
When I hit lock, it locks for literally 2 seconds before it unlocks again. What is causing this problem and how can I even fix this?

you have a short not related to that, check all your fuses and make sure very part you put looks exactly the same, the cables must the exact color
Could also be something is binding.
Recheck your rebuild.

I’ve been checking and I took out my key cylinder to see if there is any changes but it still keeps happening. It locks and unlocks only on driver side.

It could be a fuse but all locks work besides driver side. I took off my key cylinder recently to check if it made any changes but it still keeps happening, it locks but within seconds unlock.

check for parasitic drain, have you checked the resistance for the fuse and for that key cylinder?

try to remove your key battery and check if there is any fault or changes
Had similar issue years ago on a bmw 525... turned out I broke the door switch for the dome light (well, they're used for a lot more than that now!) with my foot while working on dash. Check those too.
