Dry start ups

I have a 2015 Kia Optima 2.4 theta engine 49600 miles witch doesn’t have the best reputation already. My wife’s old car kept for a spare car. It may sit 30 or 40 days in the garage without being driven or started. So when it does get drove man, first few seconds bone dry. Hurt s to hear it. Does that model have a flood mode. If so would this be a good idea to try to get some oil moving. Afraid to try it. The last thing I want to do is rev it at start up.

All engines will make noises on start-up if they've been sitting for a considerable time. They were designed to run, not sit. Residual oil film will stay on parts for a few days before it slides down into the sump. That's why you don't hear noise when you starting your car after sitting overnight. Start the car once a week and let it run. No need for pumping oil through the engine ahead of time if you just do with it what it's meant for.
