Hi Scotty, I enjoy your videos. I taking on some diy on my vehicles from learning from your videos. Have a question, I just bought a 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid with 98k mileage in October from a Toyota dealer. I have the car less than a month and the Emission System Problem light came on 11.15.21 when I was driving and I even noticed the avg. mpg efficiency decrease app. 20%. Any ideas or suggestion? Take in mind that I was putting 97 gas and just switch to recommended 87 less than a week before. Thanks.
You haven't even had the car for less than a month... I would take it back to whoever you bought it from and have them fix it or pay for the repair. No sense in DIYing when you just bought the thing. If you had the car for a few years or something then DIY to your heart's content but whoever sold you car should have know about something like that because the car is WAY too new to be having a evap leak or evap issue. My 07 honda still has all the original evap stuff in it never changed. Looks like the dealer tried to pull a fast one on you...
it should be covered under emissions warranty. Check your manual and read the fine print.
It could be a lot of things but it's best to get it scanned for codes first.
Thanks y'll
