Engine fuel additive

So I came across Scotty video on this fuel sdditive stuff and how carbon buildups occur over time.

i have an 11 sonata which has gdi.

my mothers car has been giving her trouble lately with a rough start. It’s throwing sensor codes.

it will like take a few seconds of click click clicking. Now I watch a lot of YouTube videos of mechanic car stuff. Should I buy that fuel additive stuff for her car? Or where should I start with such a generic code.

should I add it to mine. I bought the car at 70k miles. I don’t think it has ever had fuel additive done. The stuff the manual says to add is like 20. The stuff Scotty preaches is 60 for gas and oil. I worry because he said adding it if it’s not giving you “problems” can cause gaps or something in the piston and it to burn oil. My car is I guess notorious for burning oil so I would like to stay away from that. But I also drive for work and use my car all day long. Should I add it to my car? I want better mpg and to help prevent so much carbon. As it’s probably cheaper than walnut blasting the carbon away.

Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1

1 Possible Cause

  • We recommend using only high quality (or OEM) replacement catalytic converters, otherwise the lack of sufficient rare earth metals may cause your vehicle to think the converter is not working effectively.
After replacement, address any codes that indicate a rich condition, as they can cause a repeat failure of the catalytic converter.
    Top Reported Fixes
  • REPLACED OXYGEN SENSOR (02 SENSOR)
  • REPLACED CATALYTIC CONVERTER
